Estás a punto de descubrir 15 obras de videodanza internacionales, galardonadas y reconocidas mundialmente, escondidas a lo largo de Parque Santurce — presentadas por el Festival Videodanza de Puerto Rico.
Dispersos por el parque encontrarás objetos Q[A]R[T] — pequeños cubos de plexiglás iluminados, cada uno una obra de arte por derecho propio. Escanea cualquiera con la cámara de tu teléfono y se abrirá ante ti un mundo de danza.
Q[A]R[T] es un proyecto original concebido y construido a mano por Ana Sánchez-Colberg, Directora Artística y Curatorial de Vision.AI.R-E, Inc.
Algunas cosas a tener en cuenta:
Los objetos Q[A]R[T] son tecnología extraordinaria — y como toda tecnología, a veces requieren un poco de paciencia. Hemos probado cada uno: de día, bajo la lluvia y de noche. Todos funcionan.
Si un código no abre de inmediato, prueba esto:

Cierra la aplicación de cámara, ábrela de nuevo e intenta otra vez.

Ajusta tu distancia — a veces alejarse un poco hace toda la diferencia.

Cada cubo tiene tres lados visibles. Prueba desde otro ángulo — otra cara puede darte una lectura más clara.

Después de lluvia: Las gotas de agua sobre el plexiglás pueden crear sombras que dificultan la lectura. Siéntete con toda la libertad de limpiar suavemente la superficie con un pañuelo o servilleta.
Sobre la obra
Q[A]R[T] nace de una idea simple pero radical: que los seres humanos, la naturaleza y la tecnología no son fuerzas separadas en tensión — están entrelazadas. Siempre lo han estado.
Esta exposición pregunta qué sucede cuando dejamos de ver la tecnología como algo impuesto sobre el mundo natural, y comenzamos a verla como parte de la misma red de vida. El parque no es un telón de fondo. El código no es un truco. Las obras de danza que esperan dentro de cada cubo fueron creadas por cuerpos humanos, en lugares específicos, en momentos específicos — y ahora viven aquí, entre el bambú, la lluvia y el ruido de la ciudad, esperando que tu teléfono y tu curiosidad les devuelvan la vida.
De día o de noche, la experiencia es tuya — solo que diferente.
Si visitas durante el día, observa con atención. Los objetos Q[A]R[T] están escondidos entre la vegetación, entre hojas y ramas, esperando en silencio a ser descubiertos.
Si visitas de noche, ellos te encontrarán a ti. Cada cubo brilla como un pequeño farol en la oscuridad — joyas de luz dispersas por el paisaje, luminosas e imposibles de ignorar.

You are about to discover 15 internationally renowned, award-winning videodance works hidden throughout Parque Santurce — brought to you by Festival Videodanza de Puerto Rico.
Scattered across the park are Q[A]R[T] objects — small illuminated plexiglass cubes, each one a work of art in its own right. Scan any one with your phone camera and a world of dance opens up.
Q[A]R[T] is an original project conceived and hand-built by Ana Sánchez-Colberg, Artistic and Curatorial Director of Vision.AI.R-E, Inc.
A few things to keep in mind:
Q[A]R[T] codes are remarkable technology — and like all technology, they sometimes need a little patience. We have tested every single one: in daylight, in rain, and at night. They all work.
If a code doesn’t open right away, try this:

Close your camera app, reopen it, and try again.

Adjust your distance — a little farther back sometimes makes all the difference.

Each cube has three visible sides. Try a different angle — another face may give you a cleaner read.

After rain: Water drops on the plexiglass can shadow the code and interfere with the scan. Feel free to gently wipe the surface with a tissue or napkin — you are absolutely welcome to do so.
About the Work
Q[A]R[T] grows out of a simple but radical idea: that human beings, nature, and technology are not separate forces in tension with one another — they are entangled. Always have been.
This exhibition asks what happens when we stop seeing technology as something imposed on the natural world, and start seeing it as part of the same web of life. The park is not a backdrop. The code is not a gimmick. The dance works waiting inside each cube were made by human bodies, in specific places, at specific moments — and now they live here, among the bamboo and the rain and the city noise, waiting for your phone and your curiosity to bring them back to life.
Day or night, the experience is yours — just different.
If you are visiting during the day, look carefully. The Q[A]R[T] objects are nestled within the greenery, tucked among leaves and branches, quietly waiting to be found.
If you are visiting at night, they will find you. Each cube glows like a small lantern in the dark — jewels of light scattered across the landscape, luminous and impossible to miss.
